Mordu

Young European Artists was delighted to host the exhibition “Mordu,” showcasing the work of Master 2 students from the engraving workshop at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels (ARBA-ESA). The opening took place on March 29, 2024, at 6:30 p.m. at our premises at 34 rue de Stassart, Ixelles.

Seven young artists; Antoine Ait-Saidi, Louise de Cartier d'Yves, Rozalinda Gjetja, Romain Grostabussiat, Yoan Lafragette, Albane Mauberquez, and Annelies Van de Perre, linked by the practice of engraving, took over the site in a collective endeavor. The exhibition space was approached as a testing ground, both in terms of the occupation of the space and the selection of works.

Mordu thus offered a glimpse of the emerging print scene and questioned the status of contemporary engraving, while highlighting the creativity and audacity of the younger generation
